Hywel discovered his passion for filmmaking at a young age when he started making shorts. He later decided to focus on his favourite role - editing - and gained important cutting room experience working on TV documentaries for various broadcasters.

Graduating from the University of Wales with a 1st in Music Composition and Recording, Hywel learned how to utilise sound and music through all aspects of production.

As a freelancer, he has endeavoured to build upon his experience as an editor by choosing to work on projects as diverse as possible - including comedy, reality, documentary and drama.

Hywel approaches each project with a sense of experimentation and exploration, always looking for new ways to tell stories and captivate audiences. Whatever project he's working on, Hywel's aim is to always create a story that resonates deeply and elicits a strong emotional response.
