Trix a respected and often awarded Production Designer, known as an engaging collaborator with creatives which results in the creation of striking, and a unique visual language for every production. Characterised by a great eye for detail, an intuitive process to design and research, she creates a strong cinematic look and tone to best support storytelling.
She production designs for all genres- biographical, contemporary and period drama, Sci-fi and alternative world creation. She has gained new extensive experience in concept design and in creating set designs that are set within virtual worlds. While possessing expertise with traditional materials & process.
Tracey studied design at Elam School of Fine Arts, the University of Auckland. After completing her BFA, she worked extensively as a set and costume designer for leading Theatre, Dance, and Opera Companies in NZ which has led to production designing in the Film & TV Industry for over 15 years. With her technical skills and manufacturing knowledge she combines an inventive outlook, with often a lateral approach to set design to achieve a successful outcome for every production.
