The Crafty Boys are based in London.
They started in craft services but before long were feeding the entire crew through their innovative, tasty snacks - so made the transition to offering main unit caterers just over year ago. Their craft and catering is considered, environmentally considered at each step - and the food we hear is delicious!
The company has been running since 2020, and have multiple trucks now with top of the line kitchens. It’s headed by Louis Hamblett who runs the operations and his actor brother Charlie, who had grown tired of seeing terrible food on set.
Their head chef, Matthew, joins them with years running some of London’s top kitchens including Corrigan’s in Mayfair and Caravan.
Crafty Boys gives crews the food they deserve - thoughtful meals that are locally and sustainably sourced - that acknowledges how hard they’re working.

They have not long finished working with Working Title and this month wrapped Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly. Previous projects include Alfonso Cuaron’s Disclaimer, Judd Apatow’s The Bubble, Wes Anderson’s recent Henry Sugar , alongside commercials for Burberry and Margaret Howell among others. They’re currently providing full craft on Black Mirror, Signal for Apple and Working Title’s Three Bags Full.

“The Crafty team consistently impressed us with their diverse menu, attention to detail, and professionalism. They always adapted to changing needs and received positive feedback from our crew. During a long shoot challenged by COVID-19 restrictions, safety and hygiene were their top priorities and they always managed to deliver.”Gabriella Rodriguez, Producer, Disclaimer (dir. Alfonso Cuaron)
"Crafty Boys came recommended by a team member, who said they'd never had better catering on a film set in their 20+ years of experience. They were right. Their professionalism, flexibility and great service were on par with their tasty and nutritious food options, ready to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements. Their coffee and snack selection was excellent, too. It’s always a good sign when the entire cast and crew stop by the catering van to thank them at the end of the job. Would definitely recommend, and I’ll be sure to have them at the top of my list for future productions.” - Stuart Fenegan, Producer, Rogue Trooper (dir. Duncan Jones)
