Marion Boyce is an internationally renowned costume designer whose work transforms garments into narrative devices, blending texture, colour, and period authenticity.
In 2025 she won the AACTA Award for Best Costume Design in Television for Ladies in Black. Previous honours include the 2015 AACTA Award for Best Costume Design in a Feature Film (The Dressmaker), the 2014 AACTA Award for Best Costume Design in a Television Series (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Series 2), and nominations for the AACTA, Emmy, Costume Designers Guild, and San Diego Film Critics Society Awards.
Her screen credits span television and film, including Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (Series 1–3), The Newsreader, Ladies in Black, The Artful Dodger (Season 2), The Gloaming, The Hollowmen, The Starter Wife, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Barons, Run Rabbit Run, Nautilus (Disney), Dangerous Animals (2024), The Dressmaker, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, Joey, Zeus and Roxanne, and the television movies Hercules, Salem’s Lot, The Echo of Thunder, Noah’s Ark, and Moby Dick.
Beyond screen work, Boyce has designed and curated major exhibitions, including Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (Series 2 & 3), The Dressmaker (National Film and Sound Archive, Canberra; Albury), The Age of Elegance (National Trust of South Australia), and The Bowerbird and The Bride, which toured regional Australia.
