Maria has 12 years of experience in Costume and approaches Costume Design in terms of aesthetics, representation and character. She is capable and confident working in a range of genres from sci-fi thriller to 1960s period drama. Maria primarily works in contemporary; with an interest in both classic and contemporary fashion. She has specifically designed and heavily researched 1960s and 1970s eras and has a special interest in the use of color on screen, contemporary fashion and culturally specific representation. Her academic background is in cultural anthropology.
